About Us

The Frame Tutor School has been in business for over 20 years providing services, classes and workshops in Edmonton, AB. Our founder, the late Gordon Ferry, also patented the FT Mitre Measure - a patented measuring device that turns a mitre saw into a precision cutting tool.

Between them, the present two instructors, Penny Eliuk CPF and Marion Ferry B.Ed, CPF, have over 35 years of framing experience and have attracted students for the professional courses as far away as Japan, Florida, and England. Many of the past students now operate successful framing businesses.

We are located in Edmonton, AB, Canada. You will find a map on our Contact page.

Excellence in service and instruction has always been the serious goal at the Frame Tutor. Staying current in techniques, materials and trends is a priority. We keep a small source library on site and have access to a larger one, as well subscribe to several trade publications that we keep on file.

The Frame Tutor is involved and supports the community through donations to selected charities and through educational presentations. This has included presentations to the local TV station and to various groups such as artists and genealogy clubs. Charities that we support include:

The Canadian Cancer Society

Bosco Homes

The Literacy for Life Foundation
